Through this role, Annie facilitates systemic improvements at the intersection of the behavioral health and criminal legal systems in order to reduce the penetration of persons with behavioral health issues into the criminal legal system. Her work is grounded in the belief that criminal legal reform is most successful at the local level and she hopes to advance national criminal legal reform by creating networks of localities working to dismantle systemic injustices. Annie firmly believes in the power of local government and its capacity to effect significant and meaningful change in communities across the country.
