Candace Reyes is a descendant of the Philippine Islands. Her work is influenced by the Filipino Indigenous core value known as Kapwa—the idea of connectedness and a shared sense of being and identity with those around one. She is rooted in community, creativity, and love. Everything Candace does and works toward is in service of her north star: liberation.
