Jasmine Alexandra Frye

Jasmine was born and raised in Oakland, and moved to Berkeley with her grandparents after her birth mother was set to serve a lengthy prison sentence when she was a child. Being a child of incarcerated parents fuels her passion and commitment to dismantling the legal system and end incarceration. Being systems impacted deepens her connection to the transformative work she does at the Young Women’s Freedom Center. As the current Alameda County Director, she alongside her colleagues provides support, mentorship, training, employment, and advocacy to young women and trans youth of all genders in California.
